The extension is this app, in your browser's toolbar. It signs in to the same account, decrypts on your computer, and puts the code for the site you are on first. One click fills the two-factor box.
Shows the codes that match the current site first (github.com shows GitHub), and searches the rest.
Fill puts the code into the site's one-time-code box (including boxes split one per digit); tapping a card copies it.
Stays unlocked while the browser runs, in memory only, and locks after your auto-lock time without use or when the browser quits. The master password is never stored.
Talks only to this server. Everything it receives is ciphertext.
1. Download the zip and unzip it to a folder you will keep (the browser loads it from there). 2. Open chrome://extensions (Edge: edge://extensions). 3. Turn on Developer mode (top right in Chrome, left side in Edge). 4. Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder. 5. Pin Dartvel Authenticator from the puzzle-piece menu, click it, and sign in with your email and master password.
1. Download the zip and unzip it. 2. Open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox and click Load Temporary Add-on, then choose manifest.json in the unzipped folder. 3. Firefox asks for site access separately: open about:addons, Dartvel Authenticator, Permissions, and allow authenticator.sigmadev.digital. 4. Firefox removes temporary add-ons when it restarts. To keep it, the extension has to be signed by Mozilla (addons.mozilla.org, unlisted), which is not done yet.
Download the new zip, replace the folder's contents, and press the reload arrow on the extension's card.
